Lately, I have been reading a book titled "Intuitive Eating." It is such a good book and teaches so many awesome principles to remember in the weight loss/healthy living process. The principle of the day is knowing when you are full or hungry. "Listen for the body signals that tell you you are no longer hungry. Observe the signs that show your're comfortably full. Pause in the middle of eating and ask yourself how the food tastes, and what your current fullness level is."
I have been trying to do this for the last few days and it really does make a difference. A lot of times, I find myself eating not because I am hungry, but just bored or need something to chew on. Gum is super good for times like these. It also helps to enjoy a meal when you evaluate your hunger and how the food tastes. I have learned if the food isn't as good as I want, I just throw it away or give it to Ben, because it AIN'T WORTH THE CALORIES!
So try and be conscious about eating. Don't ever let yourself get too hungry or too full. You always want to be SATISFIED.
I would love to hear any other tips that you are finding helpful. But seriously this book rocks! Everyone should read it NOW!!
